TIME BY THE RIVER

Old Mill – Landmark and Meeting Point

A mill has likely stood here since the year 830. Damaged multiple times and partially collapsed due to flooding, it was abandoned as a grain mill in 1950.

Revived by the city as a cultural center in 1984, it has become a true landmark.

Much more than a historic building and even more than a cultural center.

With its location between the old town and the river, it’s a place to meet, relax, and enjoy—one of the best spots for time by the river!

Walking paths and cycling routes run along the Nidda, and the Old Mill always welcomes visitors for a rest and invites them to chat.

The restaurant beckons with indoor and outdoor seating. The nearby Nidda terraces invite you to relax by the water.
