Gerberpark Multi-Generational Playground<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

Various interesting exercise machines offer targeted movement exercises that are also fun.
Spacious green areas for relaxation, play, and exercise along the Nidda are there for carefree leisure activities. Here, walking on the grass is explicitly allowed! <\/p>\n

The park is thus a place for movement, but not only that:<\/strong>
Sun-drenched meadows and shade-giving trees offer wonderful spots to linger.
Newly designed multi-generational meeting points offer movement, fun, and togetherness for all ages: all of this can be found in Gerberpark today.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]And yet it was once the dirtiest part of town:<\/strong>
After tanning, the tanners used the river to wash their leather and hides. The tanners had to wash out their hides, which stank after tanning, in the flowing water of the Nidda. <\/p>\n

To do this, they held the hides in the river with a hook. If they weren’t careful for a moment, their “hides swam away”\u2014a German idiom for losing one’s prospects that we still use today. <\/p>\n

They were not popular; tanning heavily polluted the water and spread foul odors.
