The tour brings the historic sites to life and tells of the fate of the city, its citizens \u2013 and the traces still visible today. <\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Vilbeler H\u00f6he \u2013 from military training ground to neighbourhood<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once the <strong>Vilbeler H\u00f6he<\/strong>, as today\u2019s Heilsberg district used to be called, was a military training area. Later it became a new home for many people. A walk full of insights into social change around 1900. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gold Rush: The Water Trade<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>How Bad Vilbel\u2019s mineral water helped drive economic growth: the tour tells of the boom in the <strong>spring-water trade<\/strong>, the rise of major family businesses, exports around the world \u2013 and the changes brought by this bubbling wealth.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Night watchman tour<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When darkness falls, the night watchman takes you on his round through the Old Town. By lantern light, he tells of curfews, chicken thieves and his role as protector of the citizens. You\u2019ll learn what a \u201cZinken\u201d is, why the thieves\u2019 cant known as <strong>Rotwelsch<\/strong> was once feared \u2013 and how the night had rules of its own.  <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tour of the historic town hall<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A half-timbered jewel on the outside, a piece of living administrative history on the inside: the <strong>town hall<\/strong> from 1498 is one of the city\u2019s oldest buildings \u2013 and to this day an official building with charm. The tour shows the historic timber framework, tells of former council meetings, renovations, a village fire and rebuilding \u2013 and invites you to take a seat in the old council chamber, where justice was once administered and history was made. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tour of the Bad Vilbel Kurhaus<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An elegant 1920s building, a place of tradition and change: the <strong>Bad Vilbel Kurhaus<\/strong> was long the centre of social life \u2013 from spa operations to dance events, from spa orchestra to local politics.
